New Year update
I haven't had an awful lot to say lately, craft-wise that is. I have had a two week holiday, during which I have been extremely unproductive. I have kept a close eye on Etsy, and really there has only been one or two things that have caught my eye. The latest trend seems to be 'steampunk' which doesn't appeal to me at all. It has a raw, mechanical feel, with cogs and metals etc. To me it looks like the inside of a clock.
You may remember this bracelet I posted about some time ago:
Well I finally gave in and bought it. It was on sale, so I considered it a Christmas present to myself.
Not much else to update at this stage. I am slowly getting back into my jewellery making, however lacking a bit of motivation since I have a large box of made jewellery staring at me - in need of a home. I really need to focus on finding a regular way to sell, possibly by advertising my website... or by being more involved in markets etc.
Thats all for now. I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas :)

When your gone...
When I am sad that an item has sold... it makes me realise that yes, I do really want it. Even though I had no intention of buying this lovely scarf, I was rather disappointed to see that it has found a home (with someone else).
The scarf is by Etsy seller "homelab"
Now if you have read my "how to acquire a scarf..." post you may think its quite easy. However, the golden rule with this technique is not to overuse it.
I have a special friend in mind, who could easily whip this scarf up for me... but as this is more of a winter item... maybe I should let her knit herself something for a while, you know, just for a change :)
